The Bachelor of Commerce is a graduate degree course designed to enhance the ability to learn and study variety of subjects like Accountancy, Economics, Business Laws, Business Organization and Communication, Business Mathematics etc.

B.Com students after completing the course can opt for higher studies in the fields of MBA, M.Com, Law, Economics etc.

We concentrate to provide soft skills with special emphasis on Spoken English, Role plays, Case discussions, Mock interviews, Group discussions etc. .

  3. Career Choice:
    Chartered Accountancy: B.Com student can enroll for CA/CS
    MBA: Finance is not similar to Accounting, but, a vast subject, with accounting just a part of it.
    M.Com: Masters in Commerce is the master degree program which students can pursue after completing their B.Com degree and they have the option to choose specializations like Economics, Statistics, Finance and so on.
    ICWAI: It is the cost accounting course offered by the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India which can be pursued only after completing B.Com. After the course students have good job opportunities as Financial Controller, Cost Controller, Chief Internal Auditor and Chief Accountant.
    Entrepreneurship:

    A door to start an enterprise and student has the ability to take risk independently to make more earnings in the market oriented economy.

    As there are many job areas to explore, B.Com students earn handsome salary package where the salary of the candidates varies from department to department. Salaries mostly depend on the nature of the organization and the type of job which students decide to choose as career option.

2019

  • FMS, SKITM organized the Induction Ceremony for the 2019 batch of MBA and BBA on 08th August 2019. The guest of honor, Dr. Vinay Goyal, faculty of IIM, Raipur graced the occasion. He enlightened the young minds with the examples of entrepreneurs. HR heads of BlazeClan Technology, Pune, Ms. IIham Mulla and Anup Tilak shared industry insights with students. They shared the details what an interviewer observes in an interviewee.
  • FMS, SKITM organized the Orientation Ceremony, for the 2019 batch of MBA and BBA on August 27, 2019. The ceremony was organized by the senior batches of the MBA department to welcome their juniors in the college. The event went up with lots of excitement with dance skits and other fun performances by the seniors.
  • On 12 September 2019, FMS, SKITM organized Ganesh utsav. The event began with cultural function planned by MBA students and faculty members and proceeded by Maha aarti and visarjan.
  • On 16th September 2019, FMS, SKITM organized a guest lecture, for the students of MBA department. Our guest Ekagra Sharma, Business Analyst at Tata Consultancy Services and writer of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ graced the occasion with his mesmerizing lecture concentrating on the basics of management skills.
  • FMS, SKITM organized the Seminar on Adventure, for the batches of MBA and BBA on September 20, 2019. Our guest Mr. Rakesh Jain, Life Coach, outbound expert, certified coach and master practitioner of NLP at Outdoor Learning Resources PVT LTD, enlightened the students with different adventure activities like Flying fox, Para sports, trekking, rock climbing, Mountaineering, Wild Life and Birding camps etc.
  • SKITM organized the informative seminar on Option Strategies, for MBA and BBA students on September 3, 2019 by Dr. Sumeet Khurana, Director, Faculty of Management studies, SKITM and by our guest from NSE Mr. Sumeet Maheshwari & Mr. Aslam Sheikh. They guided about ‘call and put’ options by giving various real life examples. He enlightened the students about the strategies to earn more profit in ‘buy and sell’options.
  • On 2nd October 2019, FMS, SKITM campus celebrated 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi by organizing a cultural programme. The auspicious occasion began with lightening the lamp ceremony and national anthem followed by stories on the life of Gandhi, a wonderful nukkad natak and Bhajans.
  • On 14th October 2019, a workshop on ‘Developing winning personality' was organized by FMS. The Motivational speaker, life skill training consultant, marketing and sales trainer and success coach Mr. Deepak Redgaonkar motivated students to start working for success in this competitive world , as everyone want to be successful
  • SKITM organized the Blood Donation Camp, for the students and the faculty members on November 26, 2019 with HDFC bank. All the students and faculty members participated in the noble cause.The camp members gave certificates and the refreshments to the donors.
  • Department of FMS organized a grooming session on “Creating first good Impression” on 26 Nov., 2019 at college auditorium for all the batches of management department by Dr.Mona Dudhale. She discussed about the basic tips on dress code, hairstyle, introducing ourselves and greeting from corporate point of view.
  • SKITM organized the seminar on Integrity: a way of life, for the batches of MBA and BBA and Pharmacy on November 1, 2019 by our guest Mr. S. Ramchandran, Asst. GM of SIDBI. Ramchandran Sir concentrated on how the integrity and honesty is losing its value in our present life. He mentioned his adolescence stories where he realized the importance of integrity in his life. He gave the vision to the students to be honest in each step of their life.
  • Department of FMS organized the one day trekking to Jogi Bhadak waterfall near Indore, for the batches of management department on December 3, 2019 with Mr. Rakesh Jain & team (Outdoor Adventures). Trekking and site seeing gave new refreshment and energy in everyday lives of the students.
  • On 25th December 2019, SKITM along with the Kala Kumbh Educational Society conducted a Donation Drive with the name Secret Santa in the eve of Christmas. The objective of this drive was to donate clothes which do not fit anymore or that we just stopped wearing.
